說到民雄美食,除了精彩的傳統小吃,也不乏許多具有「態度」的優質店家,比如鐵道旁的老宅家常菜「渡對」,就是個極度適合多人聚餐、也適合自己放鬆享受美食的美好空間。
忘了從哪時候開始,到民雄「渡對」成為我的「療癒儀式」:爸媽來嘉義看女兒時、和另一半充滿紀念的特殊日子時、許久不見的老友來嘉義旅遊時、甚或忙完專案想放鬆時,從嘉義市區驅車往民雄駛去,到鐵道旁品嘗懷舊家常味,是那種雖然不是天天見面、一見面就是很溫暖的安心感。

保留原有舊碾米廠空間架構、融合創新台味的裝潢設計,有如回家外婆家與家人團聚的氛圍,「渡對」總讓我這個老派人流連忘返。最重要的,當然是餐點菜色總是大大滿足味蕾,一家店從空間運用設計、主餐到下午茶甜點,全都用心地讓我無可挑剔,也難怪我每次都為了「渡對」,把朋友從嘉義市拉到民雄用餐,因為值得。

餐點「主食」包含「炒飯」、「苦茶油飯」、「米粉湯/麵線」、「煎餅/披薩」等類項,每類項包含多種不同選擇,我尤其喜歡「苦茶油松阪豬飯」,松阪豬肉片煸的油香,與苦茶油飯巧妙地融合在一起。

米粉湯也是我很喜歡的選擇,嚐的到新鮮海味的清爽「小卷米粉湯」,打上一顆荷包蛋、搭配不柴的豬肉片,「苦戀花麵線」絕對會牽動你許多回憶。

「烏魚子炒飯」也是我極喜愛的品項,結合了海味烏魚子與清爽蘋果丁,多種層次一次在口中併發。

至於「來手好菜」包含「炒青菜」、「涼拌/沙拉」、「湯品」等類項,我個人每次去必點「金沙龍鬚菜」,裹著鹹蛋香氣的龍鬚菜,就是超級下飯的組合。

而我每次最期待的,就是不定期、未出現在菜單上的「隱藏版」,比如:「松子醬炒飯」結合蛋香、醃黃瓜(這很神奇提味)等拌炒入飯,飾以淡淡鹹味的松子入醬,應該還有些香椿口感吧,雖名為炒飯但不油膩的絕妙口感。

有幸在2022過年期間品嚐到「鴻運當頭米粉鍋」(說實話分量真的很多,應該要用「盆」來當單位),濃厚鮮味湯頭中有著現撈小卷與烏魚(或你也可以選鯧魚),彈牙的手作花枝丸與上方黃金發亮的蛋酥,更是提味!
而「團圓圍爐湯」則有「苦茶油雞」、「藥膳帶骨羊肉」、「鮑魚菇菇雞」、「紅燒牛肉」等選項,我們點了「苦茶油雞濃湯」,雖名為「濃湯」,但喝起來是清爽又溫暖,尤其軟中帶Q的手作米血更是令人驚艷!

至於蛋糕甜點更不在話下的厲害,不同時節探訪都有不同的選擇,同樣的是最當季食材入味,猶如藝術創作般令人期待。我總和朋友說,到「渡對」最好能保留一些胃給甜點,絕對值得。

你可能知道,嘉義有所以創造啟發式教學為名的「北興托兒所」,但不一定知道「渡對」也是同樣出自如此堅持理念的主人家之手,如出一轍地注重美感與生活態度,我想,你可以在美好的飲食體驗中完整感受到。千萬別忘了到二樓小陽台空間,在夕陽餘暉下看著來往穿梭的鐵軌的各班火車,是種很特別的浪漫情懷。
